So I went into this completely blind and I know absolutely nothing about the Monkey Island franchise (well. now I know something!) but I absolutely loved this game. I adored the story deconstruction and fourth wall breaking elements, it was incredibly fresh and unique! I also really liked the experience of someone enthusiastically telling me about a video game franchise they clearly care a lot about.
